Circuit Theory #33 | Non-Inverting Op-Amp: Positive Gain and 6 V Example
Operational Amplifiers (Op-Amps)Instructor: Dr. Süleyman Burak ÇELİK
Thirty-third lesson in the Circuit Theory series. In this lesson we solve the non-inverting op-amp step by step. We start from the actual question: find the output voltage and voltage gain. Then we use negative feedback and the feedback voltage divider to derive the positive gain formula. Main goals: - Understand why the input goes to the non-inverting plus terminal - See why the inverting node becomes a virtual copy of Vi - Use Rf and R1 as a feedback voltage divider - Derive Vo = (1 + Rf / R1) Vi without memorizing it - Apply the formula to R1 = 1 kΩ, Rf = 2 kΩ, and Vi = 6 V - Check that Vo = 18 V fits inside the plus and minus 24 V supply rails - Interpret the output sine wave: same frequency, same phase, triple amplitude
